Front De Cadeaux drop off the third edits volume which is a manifesto of the SUPREME RALLENTATO.
This art is based on the wrong speed technique (playing 45rpm vinyl record at 33rpm +/-8), so that you can enter frequencies, bass and rhythm just like you are watching a picture on the microscope or walking through a slow motion reality. It's immersive, it's hot, it's sexy.
Broken beats, abstract dub, psychedelic tribalism, torbid acid. A bunch of tracks around from 89 to 103 bpm, totally relaxed in their lenght.
Here you have the Front De Cadeaux "supreme rallentato" technique at its essence.

We want to share the personal diary we received from Leopoldo Villegas who created the artwork for the compilation:

"I was approached by Front de Cadeaux to work on art for their new collection. The idea was to create something that was a reflection of the deep and violent transformations of our times.

My approach to finding source material was similar to other times: looking through my old book and magazine collection for images. I often reflect when I look through old material, my imagination takes a trip to the past. In this case, I was specifically looking for imagery that would reflect our current state. As I did my research and was finding images, I started thinking of how mankind has always faced struggles. There is always chaos and there have always been injustices. I’ve looked through these books and seen these images before, but this time it felt more personal.
I normally see them as a thing of the past, but here they were representing our reality.

I created the designs in my apartment, where I had been alone now for almost a month, with very little exposure to the outside. The new Front de Cadeaux edits were playing on loop while I was looking for source material. I would often hear the sound of sirens outside, a sound that has become a common occurrence these days. I would take breaks and listen to the news, then go back to working and playing the songs. It’s like I was channeling a nightmare through the designs.

The result is a collection full of uncertainty, looking to the past for an escape to a reality that cannot be escaped."
